Leadership Team Bios

Eric Gebaide '96BUS

Eric Gebaide has over 25 years of advising and operating public and privately held technology companies in every phase of their development, as an attorney, merchant and investment banker. Throughout his career, Mr. Gebaide has advised on over 50 successful transactions including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, bankruptcies, private placements and joint ventures throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia, totaling over $2 billion of value.

Mr. Gebaide earned his M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School, as well as a JD cum laude and AB from the University of Miami. Mr. Gebaide serves on the Board of All Hands Volunteers, an organization which enables volunteers to assist in natural disasters around the world, as well as All Hands Volunteers Europe (the UK-based sister organization), as co-President of the Columbia Alumni Association of Long Island and previously as a director of Demoulas Supermarkets (known as MarketBasket), which is a 75 year-old, 71 store chain, with annual turnover of $4.5BB employing 25,000 in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Peter J. Liang '08BUS

With a professional career spans across Strategy (Director at Wolters Kluwer), Management consulting (EuroAsia Media), and e-learning start-up (Founder and CEO of PYNGO.com), Peter is absolutely passionate about driving business growth through innovative solutions and disruptive technologies. A thought-leader in digital transformation and innovation, Peter was awarded the prestigious “Top 40 Under 40” Award by Long Island Business News in 2015.

Peter holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University. Peter lives on Long Island, is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys running, biking, and swimming and has participated in many local charitable races such as NYC Marathon, Long Island Marathon, Tour of the Hamptons, and NYC Triathlon.

Jeffrey Kent '89PS

Jeffrey Kent, M.D. is a 1989 graduate of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Father of four sons including sons in the Columbia College classes of 2017 and 2019. Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist in private practice in Jericho, New York. Clinical Assistant Professor, Hofstra North Shore – Long Island Jewish School of Medicine. Attending Physician, North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset) and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (New Hyde Park). Board member of the Columbia Alumni Association of Long Island (CAALI). Hosted the 2014 and 2015 Long Island regional summer sendoffs for incoming freshman and alumni and helps to plan and implement events through the CAALI.

Robin Kent P: '17CC, '19CC

Robin Kent is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law. Mother of four sons including sons in the Columbia College classes of 2017 and 2019. Currently a Family Court Judge in Nassau County. Previously worked as an Impartial Hearing Officer with the New York State Department of Education and worked for Corporation Counsel in Queens Family Court. Board member of the New York State Family Court Judges Association and member of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, the Family Law Committee and the Education Law Committee. Offers Columbia College students internship opportunities through LionSHARE. Active member of the Columbia Alumni Association of Long Island (CAALI). Hosted the 2014 and 2015 Long Island regional summer sendoffs for incoming freshman and alumni and helps plan and implement events through the CAALI.

Annemarie McCoy '79SEAS

Annemarie is a creative technologist. As an independent consultant, she works directly with her clients to help them build engaging solutions that will better their business. Over the past 25 years she has created websites, educational games, training tools and marketing campaigns for a variety of clients in non-profit organizations as well as major corporations including Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Sony, Olympus, M&M/Mars and HarperCollins. As an entrepreneur, she is currently working on her own start-up: designing and developing a social publishing platform that will improve literacy.
